Creative Endeavors
I’ve always enjoyed creating art. Engaging in creative hobbies brings a lot of meaning to my life, and I’m always looking for new mediums and techniques to explore.
During my undergraduate career, I found ways to bring this into my campus life, working with the graphics desk at The Appalachian, the university’s student newspaper, and running a small art business for a few years, vending at local art markets and regularly selling at the King Street Farmers Market.

Printmaking
I love relief printmaking, carving designs into rubber or linoleum and printing them with ink onto paper or fabric. It’s a medium that leaves a lot of room for experimentation, and it can be quite technical and challenging. I enjoy making greeting cards, posters, and printed fabric.
Fiber Arts
More recently, I’ve become interested in fiber arts, particularly sewing and needlepoint. I typically sew functional pieces like bags, and occasionally clothing, while my needlepoint work often draws inspiration from scenes I’ve come across in nature.
